The Baker-Post Funeral Home was established over 115 years ago and is perhaps one of the oldest businesses in Manassas or Prince William County. Established by George Baker in 1894, passed on to his son J. Dennis Baker, the business was sold to a corporation in 1997.

The Post family was proud to announce that on May 15, 2007, Michael and Gina Post purchased the business back from Service Corporation International, and we can once again say the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center is family-owned and family-operated by a Manassas family.

As a full service funeral home, our facility has been design to accommodate any and all religious customs. We provide traditional, on-site cremations and pre-arranged services. We also provide out of state and international funeral arrangements. We also provide assistance with insurance papers, veteran forms, social security, and any other paperwork.

With less than five years in funeral service, Jackie brings a youthful, fresh energy to the families we serve. The fact that she is a member of various humane societies, on the national and local level documents her compassionate nature. “I enjoy being able to work in the caring and cohesive family atmosphere of Baker-Post. It's not easy to find a funeral home that is able to offer such a vast range of services, from basic and traditional to modern and high-tech. Our verstility is unique and beneficial to all the different families who come in our door.”

We are so fortunate to have Sicelly working with us. Her educational and personal background provides Baker-Post Funeral Home with the support so necessary for both the staff and the Spanish-speaking families who come to us for assistance. “After the untimely passing of my nephew in 2001, I was able to get through my grief by working for the funeral home, and chose to learn all the details and aspects of the services provided. Today, I share what I’ve learned about grieving with the families who are searching for guidance in the days, weeks and months after the passing of their loved one.”

Jason Wilsher

Serving as a funeral assistant, Jason brings his unique skills and perspectives to bear in every situation. We are pleased to have him as part of the staff, as are the families he serves. “I came to funeral service without fully realizing how powerful this vocation is; serving families in their most difficult time is both emotionally-satisfying, and spiritually-rewarding.”

He is a graduate of Osbourn High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, having been awarded his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing. Jason, his wife, Mary, and their three children are Manassas natives. When Jason is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing and singing in the praise band at church.
