Thomas Bruich, Jr., 65 years old, passed away peacefully at his home in Manassas, VA on September 10, 2009, surrounded by his family and canine child Marble after a gallant battle with metastatic prostate cancer.

Tom was the beloved husband of Michele Marie (Balabon) Bruich and loving father of Ann Louise (Bruich) Collins and Tracy Lynn (Martin) Katsaris of Virginia, loving brother of Patricia (Bruich) Wheeler, wonderful grandfather to Erin Danielle and Jacob Brendan Collins, Michele Ann and Patrick Michael Katsaris of Virginia, devoted father-in-law to Patrick Collins and Patrick Katsaris, and devoted brother-in-law to William Wheeler of Virginia, Adhrena (Balabon) Brown and Diann (Balabon) and Eugene Zuzak, Edward and Christine Balabon, Michael and Kathy Balabon, of Pennsylvania. Tom was the loving son of Louise Rebecca (Fowler) Bruich and Thomas Bruich, Sr., both deceased.
Tom served 20 years in the U.S. Army including tours in Indonesia, Vietnam, Germany, France, Italy, and numerous tours stateside. After retiring from the U.S. Army in 1983, Tom worked for the U.S. Army in a prestigious federal career at the Pentagon, Wash, D.C., retiring in 2004.

Visitation will be held for family, friends, and neighbors on Monday, September 14th, 2009, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia 20110. A second visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Robert T. Kish Funeral Home, Legion Street, Republic, PA 15475-0905. Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with interment to immediately follow in the Taylor Cemetery, 600 Old National Pike Brownsville, PA 15417.
