Obituary for Matthew R. Weintz

Matthew R. Weintz, 19, of Manassas, passed away November 23rd, 2015 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born January 18, 1996, he was the son of Jay Peter Weintz and Denise Amburgey Weintz.
Matt was a 2014 graduate of Osbourn Park High School, and a member of the Nokesville Ruritan Club. He was also an avid Redskins and Nationals fan, and was a proud collector of numerous sports figures autographs.

Survivors include his parents, Jay and Denise Weintz of Nokesville; one brother, Mason Weintz also of Nokesville; his paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29th, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A Celebration of Matthew’s life will be held on Monday, November 30th, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Todd Tennant officiating.

Interment will be private and take place at a later date.

Matthew was a huge advocate against drinking and driving. Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation in Matthew’s name to Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Northern Virginia, P.O. Box 3013 Fairfax, VA 22038, or to any organization that supports education and the elimination of drinking and driving.
