Obituary for Annette Arrington

Annette Arrington
Annette Arrington, 41, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Fairfax Hospital. She was born 4 days before Christmas on December 21, 1975 in Alexandria, Virginia. She was the baby girl of Anne Arrington, who preceded her in death, and Leon Hill.

Annette graduated from Osbourne High School in 1995. She was already working part time through high school and after graduation she began a full time schedule at local fast food places. She worked at Burger King, and later at Popeyes for many years. She then decided to take her career in a different direction and told her daddy that she wanted to see what it was like to work in retail. She joined the Target Corporation Management team located in Manassas Mall and was there for many years until they closed the store in 2013. She was loved so much by her staff and her customers. Although Target offered her to transfer to one of their other stores, she did not take the offer due to her not wanting to drive. She decided on a job working for Ross as the shipping and receiving warehouse manager and although challenging, she loved it. Annette loved working and taking care of her family.

Annette was a loving, awesome mother. Her children were her life and she was always doing things for them. She loved to cook and especially outside on the grill. If it was a nice day, she loved to have parties for the family and show off her cooking skills. It was always grill time in nice weather. She also loved spending time with her aunts, uncles and cousins in North Carolina. It was the place to hang out! She didn’t like to drive, but if she hadn’t been so afraid to drive, she would have taken the children and been there every weekend she had off. Aside from inventory time, which was 2 times a year, she always had every other weekend off to spend it with her loved ones.

Annette has left many behind to cherish her amazing memory. She leaves three lovely children; Brittany, Tadd and Latoya; her father, Leon Hill; older brother, Leon (Gwen) Arrington; her baby brother, Christopher C. Arrington and sister, Denise Arrington (Joseph) Carroll. She also leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews; Mayra Arrington (Stetson) Erway, Felicity Ventura, Alina Ventura, Alyssa Carroll, LaNihya Ewell, Ariyana Arrington, Azya King-Story, Nitanva Lewis, Mariska Whitaker, Ashley Whitaker, Darion Arrington, and Antonio Arrington; a great-nephew, Easton Erway; Aunts and Uncles, Clara M. Goddard, Emma L. Arrington, James T. Arrington, Thurman L. Arrington, Joseph James Arrington, Jr. and Andrew Arrington. Also left are many cousins and friends that she loved and enjoyed.

Annette had a dear friend, Charles C. Roger (Magic) that she loved until the end!
