After a brief illness, John Godfrey Westcott died on September 5, 2017.

John was preceded in death by his Father, Godfrey Westcott who was killed at the Battle of the Bulge, his Mother, Elizabeth Short Kreckmann and his Step-Father, Harry Kreckmann.

John is survived by his wife, Pamela Andrews Westcott, his children: Wendy Caibe Melis, (Erik), Susan Westcott Kim (Roy), and Matthew Andrews Westcott (DeAnna). He also leaves behind his grandsons Christopher and Andrew Felt, granddaughters Addison and Alexis Kim, and grandsons Jackson and Carter Westcott. John will also be sorely missed by his furry girls, Scout and Callie.

John graduated from the University of Vermont in 1965 and began a career with the Central Intelligence Agency that lasted over 37 years. John ended his tenure with the Agency as a Senior Intelligence Officer at NIMA. After a brief 3-day retirement, John began working with the Boeing Corporation as the Director of Business Development for GEOINT Programs. After 10 years at Boeing, John retired for a second time. Unable to stay away from the Intelligence Community that he loved, within a week JohnWestcottAssociates, LLC began accepting consulting opportunities.

At John’s request, there will be no viewing or religious service. A private interment is planned. Donations in his honor may be made at https://www.charitynavigator.org select PetSmart Charities.
