Obituary for Maureen Parkin

Maureen  Parkin
Maureen Parkin, age 66, passed away on December 25, 2017 at Inova Fairfax Hospital.

She was born on December 4, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Blanche and Edward J. McCann.

Maureen dedicated her life to loving and caring for her family and serving others as a nurse for forty-seven years. She valued a good laugh, music, and movies.

She is survived by her four sons, Dennis Thomas Parkin, Jr. and his wife, Deborah of Manassas, VA, Christopher Edward-Lewis Parkin of Virginia Beach, VA, Sean Mathew Parkin and his wife, Elizabeth of Virginia Beach, VA, and Stephen Joseph Parkin of Manassas, VA; four grandchildren, Brooklyn, Christina, Aubrey, and Allison; and one sister, Rosemary Ugalde.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia, on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation, 2821 Emerywood Parkway, Suite 203, Richmond, VA 23294. Make checks payable to “VBCF”.
