Obituary for Barbara Eloise Wheeler

Barbara Eloise  Wheeler
On the evening of December 30th, Barbara Eloise Wheeler passed away quietly in Manassas, VA after many years of battling dementia. She was in the comfort of her granddaughter, Jennifer Gordon and Jennifer's husband, Michael.

Barbara Eloise Wheeler was born on August 25, 1929 in Conneaut, Ohio to the late Charles and Edna Yarnell. She grew up on a family farm with her sisters Jean and Marjorie.

She graduated Andrews School for Girls and received multiple administrative certificates from Northern Virginia Community College. She worked as a head secretary at Alexandria Hospital where she retired in 1993. She was a devoted Baptist and attended Manassas Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed reading, writing, exercising, spending time with her family, and truly loved all animals.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marilyn Kay Lowry; and grandson, Justin Eugene Zigmont Bishop.

Barbara is survived by: her son, David Klimaszewski; Grandchildren: Jennifer Gordon, Amber Brown, Julia Brody and Joshua Klimaszewski; Great Grandchildren: Tyler Gordon, Landyn Shrader, Iris Shrader, Emma Bishop, Kaleb Brown, Chase Gordon, Kaytlyn Bishop, Myra Brody, Dylan Gordon, Bryce Gordon, Cameron Walker and Loralye Brody.

Above all, Barbara was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to those whose lives she touched. Barbara will be deeply missed and her love will live on in our hearts forever.

A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6th, 2018 at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA

Interment will take place at a later date in Conneaut, Ohio.
