Obituary for Margaret DuVal Lewis
Margaret DuVal Lewis, age 92, passed away on January 12, 2018.
She was born to parents, Eva Sours and Thomas Jackson DuVal. She was married to Fred Flenloy Lewis, who predeceased her. She is survived by two sons, Robert Fredrick Lewis from Tellico Plains, Tennessee, and James Stephen Lewis (married to D Laurie Lewis) from Falls Church, VA, as well as 3 granddaughters, Constance Anne Arnold (married to Christopher Andrew Arnold), Jennifer Margaret Lewis, and Sally Elizabeth Lewis.
Her brother Thomas Vernon DuVal (married Martha DuVal) and sister Dorothy LeGrand (married Louis LeGrand) pre-deceased her.
Margaret Lewis was an office secretary for Reynolds Metals and later worked for her church, Manassas Baptist Church, as secretary. She was an active member of Manassas Baptist Church. She enjoyed trips to the beach with family and reunions with her many cousins. She volunteered in the Novant Health Auxiliary gift shop for decades, retiring at the age of 91. She is greatly missed and loved by many.
The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will take place on Friday, January 19, 2018 beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Manassas Baptist Church, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, Virginia.
Interment will follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas, Virginia.
A reception will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Manassas Baptist Church.
Contributions in her honor to Manassas Baptist Church are welcome.
