Obituary for Mary Burnette Weimer

Mary Burnette  Weimer
Mary Burnette Weimer, 83, of Nokesville, passed away January 30, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.

Born September 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Oliver D. Woodward and Mary Boyd Woodward. On February 27, 1953 in Elkwood, VA, she married Carroll A. Weimer.

Mary was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Nokesville Church of the Brethren for almost 50 years where she faithfully served her church community in many different capacities.

Mary was preceded in death by one sister, Betty L. Woodward and two great-grandchildren, Madison Burns and Zachary Dowdy. Survivors include her beloved husband of 65 years, Carroll A. Weimer, Sr. of Nokesville; four children, The Honorable Carroll A. Weimer, Jr. and his wife Susan of Manassas; Cathy Hill and her husband Jerry of Manassas; Mary Burns and her husband Mike of Culpeper; Kim White and her husband Kenneth of Fredericksburg; two brothers, Oliver and Allen Woodward both of Culpeper; seven grandchildren, Carolyn Hill, Michael Burns, Kayla Dowdy, Aubrey Funk, Justin Hill, Katherine Weimer and Benjamin Weimer and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Nokesville Church of the Brethren, 13002 Fitzwater Drive, Nokesville. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary with Rev. Angela Finet officiating.

Interment will immediately follow in the Midland Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Midland, VA.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Nokesville Church of the Brethren.
