Lawrence Allen Seeger, 64 of Manassas, Va. died Tuesday, December 25, 2012. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father, William Roy Seeger. He is survived by his wife, Jessica Bricker Seeger; daughter, Evelyn Janet (Chris) Turner of Danville, Indiana, son, James Lawrence Seeger; and stepdaughter, Tiffiney Williams (Jason Nance) of Orient, Ohio. Mr. Seeger is also survived by his mother, Evelyn Janet Seeger of Winchester, Va. and siblings Michele Monke of Winchester, Va. and Angela (Jeff) Lee of Manassas, Va. Mr. Seeger’s grandchildren include Matthew and Isaac Strong and Zachary Turner of Danville, Indiana and Isabelle Nance of Orient, Ohio.
He is also survived by a loving family member Racheal ; nephew, Christopher and nieces, Elizabeth and Bessie; Cousins Susie and Skip; In Laws Brad, David, Nigel, Gail Murphy, Don (Nancy) Bricker , Joy and Bob, Angie and Jesse, nephews Jonathan and Joshua.
Larry was born in Columbus, Ohio and later moved with his family to the Washington Metro Area. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corp. where he was an air traffic controller. He was a talented rock/blues guitar player, playing professionally with several bands including Kaleidoscope and Crystal Image. He was a devoted family man enjoying time spent with his wife, children and family. He was also an ardent Redskins fan and loved game day with family and friends.
Larry was employed by Fairfax County as a Senior Engineering Inspector, which he fondly referred to as being a “dirt cop.” He truly loved his job and the people he worked with. With his strength, tenacity and work ethic he continued working until he literally could no longer walk.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA, 20110, on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
