Obituary for Dale Quame Thomas

Dale Quame Thomas was born January 22, 1975 in Trinidad to Alma Thomas and Daniel Morris. Dale grew up with 5 aunts, 1 uncle and his grandfather in Trinidad. Dale’s grandfather ensured he received a strong foundation about Christ by regularly taking him to the Brethren Church. This spiritual upbringing allowed him to remember the following scriptures (Luke 19:10, John 3:16 and Romans 6:23) that brought Dale comfort in his final days and he wanted to impart this same knowledge to his children.

Dale moved to the United States when he was a teenager. He worked a myriad of jobs until he settled down at Navy Federal Credit Union. Dale was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. Dale loved the Redskins, electronic gadgets, photography, traveling, and gardening, but his greatest love was his family. Dale fought valiantly against his brain tumor diagnosis – first in 2006 and then again in 2018. He was a warrior and continued making wonderful memories with his family even while undergoing treatment.

Dale was preceded in death by his beloved mom Alma Thomas, aunts, uncle and grandparents. His memory is cherished by his wife Kandice, his sons Dale and Xavier, his stepson Corey Kaiser, his mother-in-law Kerry Kaiser, his aunts Ruth, Diane, Irma Thomas and Diana Christian, his godmother Barbara Satnarine, his brothers, the Samaroo family, and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will immediately follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Manassas, Virginia.

Following the interment, all are invited back to the funeral home for a reception.
