Albert Lee Parham passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Novant Prince William Medical Center Manassas, Virginia.

Beloved husband of 49 years of Nancy Parham, loving father of Heather S. Mullen of Crozet, VA, and Laura A. Parham of Manassas. Survived also by his brother John C. Parham, sister in law Sharon J. Parham ,sister Homie P. Best of Andalusia, AL, sister Marion W. Parham of Falls Church, VA, son-in-law Todd Mullen, grandsons Parker and Bryce Mullen, of Crozet, VA, brother-in-law George Samson of Falls Church, VA, as well as a nephew, nieces and other extended family.

Lee was born in Norfolk, VA, on February 1, 1945 to John C. Parham and Homie Barco Parham. Upon his father’s retirement from the United States Navy in 1959, the family resided in Arlington, VA.

Lee graduated from The Congressional School of Virginia in 1964. After service in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, he attended Northern Virginia Community College. Lee married Nancy Blasingame on May 16, 1970. In 1975 they made their home in Manassas where they raised their two daughters. Lee was employed at Group Hospitalization, Inc., of Washington, DC, for 27 years as a data scheduler. Following his retirement there, he worked for American Truck and Trailer Supply in Manassas for nine years.

Lee will be remembered for his love and devotion to his family, friends, and community. He was always available to help anyone who needed it. He never knew a stranger. A man who most enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, he was most happy in the outdoors and loved camping, fishing, and boating.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday September 7, 2019 at 11:00am in the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center Chapel 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. A reception will follow in the Baker-Post Funeral Home Community Room.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
