The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Alvin Maxfield can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Christina LoPorto Brown

There are three memorable couples from my childhood; Ward and June Cleaver, Jim and Margaret Anderson and Alvin and Joyce Maxfield. Always smiling and friendly, always welcoming me into their home, Alvin and Joyce were a constant reminder that true love really did (does) exist. Renee and I kept Mr. Maxfield busy on weekends chaufeuring us around Manassas, making sure we didn’t miss a good movie at Reb Yank, a school dance, or other activities we got into. It’s been many years since I’ve seen Mr. Maxfield, but he touched my life in such a sweet, kind way, that after all this time, I still feel so very blessed to have known him. Renee, you are a beautiful combination of both of your parents, and through you, your wonderful Father continues to live on.
