Obituary for Angel Galban

Angel Galbán, age 68, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021, after ten days in hospice.

He was born on July 12, 1953, in Galicia, Spain, to Juan Galbán Villaronga and Angela Loroño Piñeiro. He was one of five children.

Angel grew up in northern Spain in the home that he and his brothers helped build. He attended maritime training and served as a merchant marine for three years prior to moving to the United States in 1972. After that he worked as a highly skilled tile and stone mason in New York, Florida, and Georgia. He learned his trade while working with his brother and he took enormous pride in his work.

Preceded in death by his daughter Linda Patricia, his father Juan, his mother Angela, his brothers José and Felipe, his sister, Maria Teresa, and his nephew José Buceta Galbán. Survivors include his daughters Angela and Sarah (Alejandro Valdes), his grandchildren Bryanna, Alexandria, Daniel, David, and Isabella, his sister, Julia Galbán Loroño, and numerous nieces and nephews, their spouses, and their children.

There will be a service for immediate family only at Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Manassas, Virginia, on a date yet to be determined.
