Obituary for Anne Marie Horn

Anne Marie Lewis Horn passed away on July 4th, 2017. She was born March 30, 1928 in Boston, Massachusetts to parents John Henry and Annie Margaret Walsh Lewis. In 1946, Marie met and married Wesley Horn, a young sailor and they moved to Washington, DC. In 1955, they moved to Manassas Park, VA where they raised five children, Marie Mansfield and husband Dick of Stafford, VA, Lynda Jackson and husband Bobby of Manassas Park, VA, Wesley Horn Jr. and wife Pat of Nokesville, VA, Paul Horn of Warrenton, VA, and Karen Monger and husband Ken of Charlottesville, VA. Marie was an active parishioner of All Saints Catholic Church since 1955, when the church was the small one located downtown. She loved to sew crafts for the church bazaar and regularly worked the White Elephant room. She also worked at Old Dominion Speedway for many years.

Marie was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Wesley, her sons Wesley Jr. and Paul, her parents, two grandsons Richie Mansfield and Bernie Noel, her two sisters Eleanor and Lorraine, and her brother Paul. Survivors who will miss her always include her daughters and their spouses, 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 12th, 2017 at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, VA 20110.

Interment will follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas, VA 20109.
