Obituary for Anthony Charles Hill

Anthony Charles  Hill
On Friday, March 29, 2019, Anthony (Tony) Hill, loving husband, father of two children, grandfather of four, and great grandfather of two. He passed away at age 66.

Tony was born on November 4, 1952 in Port Chester, NY to Samuel and Lillie (Hairston) Hill. He received his master’s degree from Bowling Green State University in 1988 and retired from the Veteran Affairs. On January 30, 1978, he married Glenda Ward. They raised two daughters, Adrienne and Maggie.

Tony had a passion for cooking and playing cards, and was able to combine the two, to create extraordinary ribs and a great game of Spades. He never met a person who did not become a friend.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Samuel, and his mother, Lillie. He is survived by his wife Glenda, his two children, Adrienne and Maggie (David), his four grandchildren, Alan (Dania), William, Meaghan and Lilly, his two great grandchildren Nyla and Noah, his brothers Sam (Kerryn), Michael and Paul (Karla), his sister Gwen (Stephen) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday April 6, 2019 in the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Service 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. The family will greet friends from 1:00-3:00pm. At 3:00pm a Memorial Service will be held with Minister Elijah McDavid officiating.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
