Obituary for Archie Eugene Seay
Archie Eugene Seay was born in Fredericksburg, VA, on June 24, 1941, to the late Alfred and Ellen Seay. He passed away on February 16, 2024, at the Manassas Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Archie was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Herndon, VA, until his health failed.
He worked at the Reston Hospital Center, Betty’s Azalea Ranch, and Birmingham Green Rehabilitation Center in Manassas, Virginia. He last worked as a clerk at Walmart Retail Store until his health declined.
At a young age he attended school in Spotsylvania County. He loved to play the guitar and ride motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred Jr., Robert, Roger, and Bobby Seay as well as three sisters, Ella Mae Broadus, Rose, and Mary Seay. Also preceding him in death was his dedicated and beloved friend, Annie Inez Phillips, of over 30 years.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two brothers, Richard and James Seay; four sisters, Barbara Walker, Virginia Griffith Seay, Betty Seay, and Jane Stewart Seay. Also surviving are a host of other family and friends to include Ms. Annie’s children, Mary Hogan (Alfred), William Puller, Charles Puller (Karen), Lisa Turner (Kevin), Rosie Phillips-Journet, Margaret and John McCoy (Charlotte) to whom he was like a father.
The family will receive friends on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
