On Sunday, October 18, 2020 Arthur D. Miller, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home from his battle with his second round of cancer.

Arthur was a native of Manassas VA and he was a Vietnam veteran, where he was involved in twenty- five aerial missions over hostile territory. He received many medals directed by the President, which included a Bronze Medal. To his family and friends, he was a hero.

Mr. Miller was born September 5, 1942 in his hometown of Manassas, Virginia. In his life, he made great accomplishments. After serving our country, he came home to become a fire fighter for Company 9 in Manassas Park. He later was hired at Fort Belvoir, in Fairfax County, where he spent 25 years as a Scheduler/Planner, where he retired to spend time at home with his grandson where they took his retirement to great lengths. He loved fishing, wood working and teaching people as much as they were willing to learn.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Elbert Miller and Hazel Fetzer Miller. James S. Miller, Elbert L. Miller “Billy”. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Louise Nicholson-Miller, his two sons Michael Miller wife (Terri) of Rhoadesville, VA. and Charles E. Miller of Fredericksburg VA, his grandson Eric M. Miller, his great-grandson Maddox D. Miller both from Dilliner, PA.

He is also survived by two sisters, Joan Wolfrey and Rita (Robert) Beckwith both of Manassas VA.; sister-in-law Linda Miller of Manassas VA and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

His funeral will be private at Baker-Post Funeral Home in Manassas VA on Monday, October 26, 2020. The family would like to invite extended family and friends to join them at Stonewall Memory Gardens in Manassas 2:00 p.m. for the burial service.
