Obituary for Belinda Gail "Wendy" Ruffin

Belinda Gail "Wendy"  Ruffin
Belinda Gail Ruffin, age 56, passed away on December 7, 2020 at home in Manassas, VA.

She was born on November 3, 1964 at Prince William Hospital to the late Mary Ellen (Green) Ruffin and Thomas (Tommy) Kendell Ruffin. Wendy was preceded in death by her loving mother, Mary (Skookie) Ellen Ruffin.

Survivors include her father Thomas Ruffin, daughter Cassandra Fairfax, and granddaughter Trinity Harris of Manassas, VA. Also, a brother Thomas K. Ruffin Jr; sister-in-law Helen Crouch Ruffin; nephews Lyle Birchfield and Thomas Ruffin III; grandniece Aubrie Ruffin of Yorkshire, VA, and longtime loving boyfriend Lonzo (Junior) Blansett of Manassas. Wendy leaves behind numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, extended family, and friends.

After graduating from Osbourne Park High School in 1983, Wendy started her career at Fairfax County Circuit Court in February 1989. Wendy held various positions with the Court including Secretary to the Judges, Court Clerk, and Supervisor in the Criminal Section. She retired from Fairfax County Circuit Court in January 2017. She also worked part-time at the Yorkshire Restaurant in Yorkshire.

Wendy loved camping and fishing with her family and cousins, especially ocean fishing with her family and her uncle, Jack Green. She also enjoyed attending NASCAR races with her father, brother, sister-in-law, and her long-time boyfriend Junior. She enjoyed traveling and watching movies.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Trinity. Whenever you saw Wendy, Trinity was with her.

Family and friends are going to miss Wendy’s outgoing personality, her generosity, always willing to help anyone who is in need, she was always there for them.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Baker-Post Funeral Home, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA at 11:00 am. Officiating the service is Rev. Dallas Slemp.

Note: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the funeral is limited to family members. Friends are invited to the graveside service at Stonewall Memory Gardens following the service.
