Betty Ann Trainor Humphries (Age 85), beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great Grandmother (aka Nana) passed away peacefully February 27th, 2022, at her home in Manassas, Va. with her family by her side from a lengthy illness.

Born in Newton, Massachusetts she moved to Manassas in 1967. She is predeceased by her parents Ruth E. Johnston and Allen K. Johnston of Brentsville, Va.

Betty is survived by the love of her life, her husband Charles Humphries; her children Doreen (Larry) Corsa; Phyllis (Rick) Guthrie; David (Kim) Humphries; and Jason (Diana) Humphries. She is also survived by her brother Michael (Gillian) Emery, as well as 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

As a child she lived in Alfred, Maine where she loved the winters and the snow, and in the summer swimming in Lake Mousam and hanging out with her family. Betty graduated from Falls Church High School in 1954 and worked for Budget Motels Inc. as their Director of Purchasing for 9 hotels in 5 states.

She had a love of gardening, sports (softball, swimming) and being outdoors, but most of all she loved being with her family and friends and was always known for her big smile and her wonderful hugs.
