The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Betty Sanders can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Rexann Huggins Bassler

Dee, Beth, Nita, Mike and the entire family: The Huggins family grew up with the Sanders family in church, first Woodbine Baptist, then Community Baptist. It is where I gave my heart to Jesus and prayed for my unsaved family members and saw them come to Jesus one by one. Your mom and dad as Godly leaders, always teaching, always expecting the Spirit to move, and He did! I remember so well VBS, Sunday School, picnics outside at the old building, revivals. I told your parents one time about a song that reminded me of my growing up at Community by Ricky Skaggs - Little Mountain Church House. "It is there that I first heard the word I base my life upon," So now I am listening to that song and crying. Because of your parents and their desire to do God's will is the reason many, many people are now saved! I just read the message left by Vicki McCuin-how awesome! The Sanders family is always in my thoughts when I play that song. I also remember how comforting it felt when all of you came to my Dad's funeral-thanks again for the effort it took for everyone to be there. We all know what a void it leaves when someone goes to be with Jesus to start their eternal life with Him, but we gain comfort knowing who they are with. Thanks for sharing your mom with us for so many years.
