Billy Ray Taylor, 84, of Manassas, Virginia was called to Heaven on Thursday, November 8, 2018 to join his wife of 61 years.

He was born on August 1, 1934 to the late Samuel and Millie Taylor.

Billy married Dorothy Mae on February 1, 1954. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2015.
Billy served as a deacon beginning in 1974 at Colchester Freewill Baptist Church, where he and he his late wife were active members.

He was a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather, and most of all, a child of God.
Billy is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth McDowell and her husband Fred, of Chester Gap, VA along with his 2 grandsons, Jacob McDowell, of Winchester, VA and Tyler McDowell and his wife, Kylee, of Chester Gap, VA.

The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, November 13, 2018, 5:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dallas Slemp officiating.

Interment will take place on Thursday, November 15, 2018, 2:00 p.m. in Mount Rose Cemetery, 10069 Crescent Road, Glade Spring, Virginia.
