Obituary for Caroline J, Blacknell-Williams

Caroline J, Blacknell-Williams
Caroline J. Blacknell-Williams passed away on February 2, 2022, at the tender age of 66 to take her place with the Lord, our savior Jesus Christ. Carolyn was survived by her loving and devoted son; Kevin Blacknell, her daughter-in-law; Carrie, granddaughter; Kaliah and 6 siblings; Sonny, Edith, Ethel, David, Betty and Beatrice. She was born in Alexandria, VA in 1955 to George and Beatrice Robinson who preceded her in death. She grew up in Lincolnia, VA, graduated from Thomas Jefferson H.S, and lived most of her adult years in Manassas, VA.

Carolyn was a loving mother, grand-mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was caring, supportive, strong, and tough. No matter where she went or whom she crossed paths with, she was sure to bring joy to all those around her. She was known for making people laugh and smile with her boisterous personality and her heart of gold. She was indeed an angel on Earth.

She was married twice and was known for her famous pineapple upside down cake. Carolyn worked hard and loved her career as an Executive Assistant in Energy Consulting for many years before retiring due to her health. She loved to travel and especially enjoyed going on many cruises.

Some of her favorite things included her love of nature and animals. She was particularly fond of birds and waterfalls. She loved music, plants, puzzles and anything purple. Carolyn loved to visit Skyline Drive in the fall.

She believed that fair was fair, and she would always say, “if we aren’t fair, how can we expect others to be?” Another favorite saying from her that will live on with those that loved her, “In all that you do, be true to you” – great words to live by. Caroline knew the Lord as her savior, may she rest in peace. She will truly be missed.

Services will be private.
