Condolence: I know Chuck and the family since first time he came to Israel. Loyal Christian.
Since then Chuck and the family visitet a few times and I visited them in the States.
Chuck was an amazing person. I loved his stories about the civil war, about weapons he found and his colections.
I love Chuck.
My condolence to the dear family.
May he rest in peace.

Condolence: Met Chuck in the mid-70's via Lewis & NVRHA Club meetings from Huddlson? Library on...he hunted with many other (more successful crews) but I loved to see his finds. He called me "Lefty" which was confusing at first (I probably was a little slow), so I said to him one day, Chuck, I am right handed-can't you see I am holding the beer with my right hand. Then is when I realized it was a political comment arbit accurate. He was truly didicated to hunting, as was I. I only out-dug him at our Club Picnics-(I think)...due only to "Luck of the Irish". He will be missed. JB

Condolence: I was fortunate to have spent a few days relic hunting with Chuck and enjoyed our fun pretend competition for CS tongues. He had some awesome stories and tales to share. I will truly miss seeing him and catching up on events at the shows. My sincere condolences to Debbie and all his family.

Condolence: I knew Chuck as a NAVSEA OOC4 Cert Auditor whilst on Active Duty 1998 to present. He was an awesome Gentleman and a very knowledgeable auditor; certainly a credit to the NAVSEA Cadre. Enjoyed both his quick whit and his honorable lifelong Service yarns that would unavoidably come into focus during issues. Fair & concise he would always "lead" us to a successful conclusion. Chuck will be missed.

Condolence: Chuck was my metal detecting competition back in the 80's. In the 90's he was my dive buddy on the Civil War ship wreck in South Carolina. For the past 8 years he has been my constant metal detecting companion. I will miss him and always honor his memory. Rest in peace my dear friend as God has called you to Himself!

Condolence: From 2000 to 2012 I had the pleasure and great honor of traveling to many US Navy Diving Commands with my friend Chuck Thompson; too many to count. Chuck always had a level head, especially when things were not going as planned. Some of those trips, especially the trips to the Submarine Escape Training Facility up in Groton Ct, as well as the trip to Guantanamo Cuba, were epic! Chuck was an old-school quality assurance guy. If he said he checked something, you could take it to the bank, without question! I have attached a photograph of chuck standing in the manway of a Submarine Decompression Chamber. US Navy Diving and Hyperbarics was in Chucks blood and you can see it in his eyes in this picture. I am going to miss Chuck Thompson. I have lost a good friend.

Condolence: I want to echo what Jim Price said about our dear friend Chuck. For more than 30 years, we met three times a week at a little gym in Burke. Initially, I was impressed with Chuck's strength because he kept telling Jim and I to add on more weights. He was one of the strongest men for his size I have ever seen. As we grew older and he became a devout Christian, I became more impressed with him as a man. Not a better person or friend could be found and I looked forward to our frequent gatherings where we solved all the world's problems during our short discussions while pushing weights up and down. Chuck, Jim and I served in Vietnam at the same time and had common friends there, so there was a special bond we shared. Jim and I will miss his good humor and strong faith as we carry on in life. God rest your soul, dear friend. See you around the corner.
