Condolence From: Jerry Adams
Condolence: We know it is difficult to lose one who has meant so much to you for so long, and we are sorry for your loss. We in the first Peace Corps group in Liberia had the very good fortune to work with and admire Cliff, both for his good work and for his warm and generous nature. We hope you find peace in the certain knowledge that you and your life partner added so much to the lives of so many, and joy in your wonderful memories of your time together.

Condolence: When I hear the name Cliff Doke, I have an immediate image of a happy, smiling face and a warm affection for everyone within Cliff's field of vision. We in the first Peace Corps project to arrive in Liberia were an enthusiastic, but very naive group. Cliff helped us gain the confidence that we would manage, but always leaving us open to wonder at the new world unfolding before us.

Condolence: Dear Deb: hurt my heart to hear that Cliff has passed. He was so pleasant and helpful to be around, especially as we navigated our new situations in Liberia One PC contingent. I spoke to him several years ago and found him to be the same Enjoyable person. Although it’s been years since I’ve seen him, knowing he is no longer Here leaves a big hole. So sorry for your loss and ours.

Condolence: Cliff took such good care of us, the first group of Peace Corps Volunteers in Liberia, West Africa (1962-64). It was a remarkable 2-year mission with caring people like Cliff to help us succeed. I will always remember his sweet, smiling face and twinkling eyes. Please accept my condolences and know how much we all loved him. May God comfort you in your grief.
