Obituary for Constance A. Bariteau

Constance A.  Bariteau
Constance “Connie” Aline Bariteau, a resident of Gainesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 1, 2021 at Fairfax Inova Hospital in Falls Church, VA.

Connie was born on August 18, 1935 in Weston, WV. She graduated from Weston High School in Weston, WV, and she received her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education at Glenville State College in Glenville WV.

She was an elementary P.E. teacher in Pomeroy, OH and Prince William County Virginia until her retirement in 2001. She also worked many years for the Prince William Park Authority and Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow.

Connie was a loving mother, sister and friend, and she will be dearly missed. She greeted people with a smile and will be remembered for her kind and caring ways. She was a longtime member of Centreville Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She often went on trips with the Prince William Senior Bluebird Tour group, and she enjoyed fishing with her daughter in Chincoteague Island, VA every summer. She was a huge fan of the Washington Football Team, Capitals and Nationals, and she adored her two cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents Audrey and Zenna Flesher Marley, sister Barbara Skidmore, and brother-in-law Carl Murdock. She is survived by her son Brock Bariteau of Gainesville, VA, daughter Tara Bariteau of Warrenton, VA, sister Sharon Murdock of Weston, WV, sister Linda Kay Nicholson and husband Nick of Rio Verde, AZ, niece Kimberly Murdock of Weston, WV and nephew Bill Skidmore of Weston, WV.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Centreville Baptist Church in Centreville, VA in Connie’s name.
