Obituary for Curtistine Mabry

Curtistine Mabry, age 72, born on August 12, 1947 in Columbus, Georgia, died on June 4, 2020 at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia. Curtistine was the daughter of the late Arsie Lee and the late Homer Baker. She was a graduate of Spencer High School in Columbus, Georgia. Curtistine married the late David E. Mabry, Sr. on September 11, 1965 and they had three children.

Curstistine enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, reading the bible, watching old movies and westerns.

She is survived by her daughter, Yolanda of Virginia Beach, Va., son David (Kimberly) of Gainesville, Va., son Christopher of Virginia Beach, Va., seven grandchildren (Andre, Christina, Alexandra, Brandon, Tatiana, David, and Jonathan) and four great-grandchildren (Cali, Crisslynn, Kashele and Kendall). She is also survived by her siblings Dorothy Boddie (Arthur) of Columbus, Ga., Kirven Baker (Maria) of El Paso, Tx., and a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David.

A private gravesite ceremony will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Va. at a date to be determined. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Curtistine’s name to the National Cancer Society.
