Obituary for Daniel Theodore Chapline

Daniel “Danny” Theodore Chapline passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday, August 11, 2019, at the age of 57. Danny will be fondly remembered by his sisters, Catherine Seller, Rosa Johnson, Elizabeth Eubanks, and Amy Kriz; numerous nephews; nieces; extended family; and many friends. Born on February 13, 1962 in Alexandria, Virginia, Danny was the fourth child and only son of Calvert “Billy” and Florence Chapline.

Although Danny was born with developmental and intellectual disabilities, he worked hard and was the proud graduate of Osbourn High School in Manassas Virginia. He was employed most of his adult life and worked for Marriott, Manassas Mall, Carter Bank and Trust, and Giant Food. Widely known for biking around Manassas, Danny truly never met a stranger. He will be remembered for his friendly manner, tenacity, and delightful sense of humor. Danny lived independently over the last five years and his family extends a heartfelt thank you to all who made this possible including, neighbors, friends, Prince William County Independent Living Program, Didlake, The ARC of Greater Prince William County, Psychological and Life Skills Associates, and Buddy Club.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110. A Celebration of Danny's Life will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

A reception will be held in the funeral home Community Room following the service.
