Nell (Nellie) Harlow-Brooks

This has come to us all as huge loss. Denny was one of a kind (in a great and amazing way). I've known Denny and his family through Jean (his sister) for at least 38 years and what a loving brother, son, dad, uncle, husband, grandfather, etc. he was. He has never been far away, just one simple phone call away for whoever needed him at any hour. Jean, I know that you treasured him whole heartily along with Mikie and Bitsy (Leigh Anne). He has always taken his time and made efforts to be there for you all for fun family celebrations whether it was weddings, cook outs, graduations, holidays, etc., as well as when you all lost Dave, who too thought a lot of the Denny and all of the Roston family. The comfort and support that he gave and shared with both Mikie and Bitsy during this huge loss was unbelievable. The one thing I do know is that they (Mikie and Bitsy) loved him equally as he love them. Jean, Brenda, Linda, Bill and Bud you all have something that most don't have and that was a Denny in your lives as a special brother who loved each of you very much and you all meant the world to him. Denny was such a giving and loving person. I know he loved his brothers and sisters like no other. He rallied to each of them whenever they needed him. He also shared one of the most infectious smiles and warm bear hugs ever, he might of been a bit loud but never in a mean way, just a happy go lucky kind of guy and he made sure that you were smiling along with him whenever you were ever around him. I could write more but I will just close with saying for all that loved and cared about him know he loved cared about you more. Denny will be greatly missed and for each of his family members and friends always cherish the wonderful memories that each of you hold to help you through this very sad time. I know I will always remember the amazing smiles, hugs and the kindness he has always shared and given me.
