Obituary for Dolores Theresa Claus
Dolores Theresa Claus, 89, passed away August 12, 2019 in Lake Manassas Rehab Center after a fall in April when other medical complications set in.
Born on September 9, 1929 to the late Frank Francis and Ada Mary Brown, she was the last of their 6 six children and born in the year of the Depression.
Besides her parents, Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years, Leo Dale Claus; 2 sons, Marvin Dale and Clyde William (Bill) and also 1 great-grandchild, Thomas Shane Diggs, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary L. Zorich of South Carolina and her son, Roy F. Claus of Nokesville, Virginia. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Christy, Tony, Leo, Nelson, Donna, Crystal, Ryan, Whitney and Sam as well as 11 great-grandchildren.
She will always be remembered by her love of Nascar racing, Young & Restless soap opera and ELVIS! She will also be remembered for her wonderful life experiences with family and friends, her loving kind words and examples of her love and thoughtfulness she expressed to all.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
The family invites everyone to join a Celebration of Life after the service at The Greater Manassas Rescue Squad, 9322 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia in the meeting hall.
Interment will take place in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
