Donald Ronald  Carr
Donald R. Carr, age 84, of Nokesville, Virginia died on May 2, 2021 at his home. His passed unexpectedly due to complications from diabetes.

Born May 1, 1937 in Spotsylvania, Virginia, Mr. Carr was son to Wallace A. Carr and Evelyn D. Simms. He married in 1978 to Judy Elaine Stannard and they lived together in the Washington, DC area for over 32 years, most recently in Nokesville, Virginia. His wife, Judy, predeceased him by 10 years. Mr. Carr is survived by his son, David, of Lincolnton, NC; his step-son Kevin McFadden, of Purcellville, VA, and five grandchildren. He was a beloved father and grandfather.

Mr. Carr worked for the Fairfax County Water Authority for 22 years before retiring as a shop supervisor. He enjoyed being outdoors and engaged in many kinds of activities including boating, camping, fishing, and hunting. He frequently spent his free time around Lake Anna and the Spotsylvania/Louisa area where he grew up. He often enjoyed walks through the woods or dropping a fishing line in the water to pass the day.

Services will be held grave-side at Bethel Christian Church on Courthouse Road in Spotsylvania, VA on Friday, June 4th, 2021 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow.
