Obituary for Felicia Diane Thomas

Felicia Diane Thomas passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2019 in Hampton, VA. She was 60 years old.

Felicia was born on March 19, 1959 to the late Gonzer Lee Thomas and Bessie Harris in Harlem, New York.

She graduated from Charles Evans Hughes High School and went on to work for Department of Social Services in New York.

Felicia moved to Virginia in 1986 and years later she attended Northern Virginia Community College to study Business Administration. She worked for a company called N.E.W before landing an Administrative Assistant position for the Prince William County Records Bureau for 12 1/2 years. Due to her kidney disease, she had to retire early.

Felicia loved to travel and has gone on many trips with family, like to the Bahamas & Las Vegas to name a few. She also loved going to First Baptist church and being an active member of the Culinary Ministry and Family Life Ministry and watching her Men's Choir walk down the aisle Every 1st Sunday.

Besides her father she has a brother, Curtis and a niece who are already resting in heaven.

Felicia leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Champagne, son Robert, and her four grandchildren, Rianna, Robert III, Aniyah, and Nolah; her mother, Bessie; two brothers, Leon and Michael; four nephews and one niece. Also surviving are 6 great-grand nieces and 4 great-grand nephews; two aunts, two great uncles and a dear close friend, Robert Riley, Sr. along with a host of cousins and loving friends.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 9258 Center Street, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will take place beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Mitchell officiating.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
