The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of George Herndon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Daddy...words can’t describe the pain I feel in my heart. I can try to distract myself, but I literally feel a pull or heaviness downwards that reminds me I’m missing something. You were my best friend throughout life and taught me so much in my 30 years. You always put others, especially your family before yourself. The memories we have made are buried forever in my heart and forever in my mind, until we meet again. The days will go on and you will be be something I will NEVER get over, but learn to cope with. I can’t believe you are gone so soon in my life, we had so many more memories to make! Alayna loves you and misses you to death. She says everyday she wants you to come back and that she’s a fairy and going to make you feel better. Holidays are going to be hard. I will always be daddy’s little girl. Please watch over us as I know you will. Don’t worry about Momma, you know I will look over here (literally!) Don’t hesitate from visiting us, it gives me more hope that I will see you again one day. We can ride roller coasters again, my 4wheeler, play Xbox, build bookcases/shelves together like “Rick and Steve” did back in the day. I love you soooooooooooooo much and miss you more than ever. See you soon Daddy :(
