Gilberto Polastre, 76, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023 with his wife, children, and grandchildren lovingly by his side. Gilberto Polastre was born on February 4, 1947, to the late Leovigilda Algandona and Juan Polastre.

He is survived by his loving wife, Evelia; his three children; Anie Polastre, Shevonne Polastre and Geordanie Polastre; his grandchildren, Kamryn, Ethan, Kayla, Cebastian, Isabelle, Yapfhet and Jaziel and one great-grandson, Giovanni. Also surviving is his younger brother, Osvaldo Polastre.

Gilberto Polastre married Evelia in his early twenties, and the couple moved to the United States to begin their lives together. Together they worked tirelessly to bring the American dream to their daughters, grandchildren, and great grandson. Gilberto loved spending time and doting on his family. Gilberto enlisted in the United States Army and served his country honorably for more than 26 years. He then retired from the U.S. Army as a Master Sergeant.

In his retirement, Gilberto was an expert hunter using only a bow and arrow. He loved being in the gym, working on his home and yard, listening to music, and spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandson. He was an extremely hard worker, dedicated and determined to provide for his family and give them the life they deserved.
