Obituary for Glenda Sharon Ward

Glenda Sharon  Ward
On Saturday, January 30, 2021, Glenda Sharon Ward, loving wife, mother of two children, grandmother of four, and great grandmother of three. She passed away at age 68.

Glenda was born on November 2, 1952 in Pensacola, FL to William and Mary (Harman) Ward. She received her master’s degree from Townson University in 2005. On January 30, 1978, she married Anthony (Tony) Charles Hill. They raised two daughters, Adrienne and Maggie.

Glenda had a passion for quilting, sketching, painting, carving, and ancestry. She could tell you a lot about her ancestry and made the most beautiful quilts and dolls.

Glenda was preceded in death by her husband, Tony, her father, William, her mother, Mary and her sister, Cheryl. She is survived by her two children, Adrienne and Maggie (David), her four grandchildren, Alan (Dania), William, Meaghan and Lilly, her three great grandchildren Nyla, Noah and Nikolas, her brother Dean (Rex), her sisters Louise and Karen (Denis) and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

If you will be sending flowers, please have them delivered to the Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, April 2nd by 1:00 p.m. or you can send them to either of her daughters.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a graveside service will be held at on April 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the time of interment. Per Glenda’s wishes, she will be cremated and Interred with her husband at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
