W Dean Ward

When I was in third grade and Glenda was in Junior High, she would sometimes take her lunch money, just buy a milk, save the other change and then on Saturday morning, she would take me to the Ro-Na Theater in Ironton Ohio to see a Jerry Lewis movie. She taught me how to use my left hand to clip my nails on my right hand. She and I would walk to the library and I would wait in the reading section reading comics as she roamed the isles looking for Bradbury, Azimov, or Pearl S Buck to check out for her reading. In later years we would stay up all night sitting on the roof at our home in Ashland kentucky talking, just talking about our dreams and our future.
