Obituary for Gloria Irene Goultrey

Gloria Irene Goultrey
Gloria Goultrey passed peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones, early Saturday morning, October 20, 2018. She lived a full life – filled with laughter and joy. We were happy to celebrate her 80th birthday on August 4th at her son and daughter-in-law’s home.

She leaves behind her two loving children; daughter, Darlene Runaldue, and son, Jeff Goultrey and his wife, Ann. She also leaves behind three wonderful grandchildren that she loved so very much; Justin Goultrey and his wife Samantha, Kristen (Runaldue) Gray and her husband Justin, and Nathan Runaldue and his girlfriend Allison Verdin. She was proud to be the adoring great-grandmother to James Goultrey, nearly three,
Kayla Gray, age two, and soon to turn one, Joseph Gray.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Wayne M. Goultrey; her mother, Sudie Tolson; her father, Clay Tolson, and an infant son, Robert Wayne Goultrey.

Gloria was an only child, but had many loving aunts, uncles and cousins from the family farm in Mt. Jackson. Originally from Alexandria, Gloria moved to Gainesville and more recently to Manassas, to be closer to her family. She retired as a Budget Analyst after a 20 year career in the Federal Government at Fort Belvoir. Earlier in her life she worked at Giant Food and Wilson Sporting Goods Central Office. She loved movies, going on vacations, dining in restaurants, and visiting with friends and family. We will forever miss the laughter and love she brought to us all.

The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 25, 2018, 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church, 9750 Wellington Road, Manassas, Virginia with Pastor Rudy Tucker, Jr. officiating.

Interment will immediately follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia.
