Obituary for James M. Stoner III

James M.  Stoner III
James Monroe Stoner, III, 65 of Catharpin, passed away February 8, 2019 after a brief illness.

Born June 20, 1953, in Alexandria, VA, he was the son of the late James Monroe Stoner, Jr., and Rosemary Ann McSurdy Stoner.

Known to his family and friends as Monty, Mr. Stoner worked as an automotive parts salesman in the Northern Virginia area for many years prior to his retirement. He was a long-time resident of the Catharpin area, and enjoyed playing billiards in his spare time.

Survivors include one daughter, Amy Stanley of Nokesville; one son, Jimmy Joe Stoner and his wife Neshell of Amissville; two sisters, Debra Stoner Belkin of Winchester; Mary Lawson of Catharpin; two grandchildren, Aiden James and Ava Joleigh Stoner; and one niece, Melanie Williams and her husband Garland of Catharpin.

There will be no public visitation or funeral service. Private interment will take place at a later date in the Sudley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
