Condolence: Jimmy Wilson and the Coin Shop were neighbors on Battle Street to Ratcliffe Insurance for many years. He was a great neighbor and friend. His smiling face will be missed by all of us. RIP Jimmy

Condolence: I met Jimmy in May 1982 when I was hired by the Manassas Museum which was then in the old bank building on Main St. a block from Jimmy's shop. I think at first he was concerned that a museum guy was there to seize his artifacts but over time we became good friends. His shop was a constant stream of personalities, and I learned a lot there. On many a Friday after work he would pour me a coin tube of homemade wine that someone had given him. Here's a toast to Jimmy Wilson--one fine guy who marched to his own music-- always. Condolence: Jimmy, You are very missed. What a tremendous man you were in life. You collected so many treasures, and then you became one to your community. I have great memories of stories you would tell about any coin or bill you could imagine. Thank you very much for taking the time to tell important stories and for treating everyone you encountered with respect. You really showed me with your collection, demeanor, and stories the true value of time, and the importance of making a mark in the world. May God bless and sustain your family.
