Those Silly Cows!
One day, back in the 90s, Momma and I and most, if not all, of my 4 children, we all in her car and we were out garage sale hopping, our favorite thing to do. At one sale, I bought a small Radio Shack bullhorn for a few bucks and the kids and I were messing with it having fun. Mom couldn't understand why I even bought it and said as much. lol
As we were traveling down County Road 565 in Wantage, NJ, we came to a large cow pasture on my side of the road (passenger side) and the cows, as always, were happily grazing about 100-200 feet from the fence. As we got closer, I suddenly lifted that bullhorn, aimed it towards the cows and bellowed out a 'MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!'
Well the cows all snapped their heads up, looked wide-eyed and all began running towards the fence-line near the road! Well, we all shocked and we all laughed so hard and Mom...well Mom was laughing the hardest to the point that she had to pull the car over on the side of the road because she couldn't see to drive, through the laughing-tears coming from her eyes! I can still hear her joyous laughter that day and still see her shaking in hysteria! Her laughing so hard only made US laugh even more too! When she finally was able tto regain her composure...she looked at me and said "Don't you ever do that again! But that bullhorn was the BEST thing we bought all day!"
Oh, to hear that laugh again right now. I love you forever and ever Momma and miss you so very much. xoxo Cathy
