Obituary for Janet Mildred Carte
Janet Mildred Carte, 77, of Manassas, died Monday, March 18, 2019 at Novant Health Prince William Medical Center.
Janet was born June 4, 1941, in Fayette County PA to John and Mildred Lengvarsky. She moved to Alexandria, VA after high school and made Manassas her home for the past 54 years. Janet was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, her friends and the beach. She was always up for an adventure.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, John Keith Carte of Manassas; four sons, Michael Alan Carte and his wife Anne of Manassas, James Keith Carte and his wife LeeAnn of Catlett, Steven Matthew Carte and his wife Kera of Haymarket, Jonathan Phillip Carte of Round Hill as well as one daughter Kimberly Carte Lacy and her husband Leon of Havelock, NC. She is survived by four grandchildren, Amanda Roberts and her husband Mark, Emily Lacy, Kyla Carte and David Carte. Janet is also survived by four sisters, Mary Cutler, Sister Barbara Ann Lengvarsky, Millie Harvey and Anita Miskanin as well as two brothers, John Lengvarsky and Joseph Lengvarsky.
A prayer service will be held on Thursday, March 21 at 1:00 p.m.at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, with a viewing beginning at 12:00 p.m.
Interment will immediately follow in Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, VA 20109.
