Obituary for John Michael Gaber

John Michael Gaber
John Michael Gaber, aged 68, unexpectedly passed away peacefully at home on May 18th, 2023.

John served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Legion.

As an avid hunter and outdoorsman, John loved going to Gaber's Bellyachers Cabin with his family and friends. He spent a lot of time with lifelong friends in Maine. John was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan and Packers shareholder. John had the biggest heart imaginable, one he opened to everyone he met. Those who knew him felt the power of his love and could do nothing but love him in return. He truly was someone who would do anything for anyone.

John is survived by his brothers Scott Gaber (Sue), David Gaber (Lexi), sisters Cindy Johnson (Harv), Mona Gaber Snow Pugh (Bob), Nancy Bowling (Kevin), Becky Spencer (Greg), numerous beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many extended family and friends.

John was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dolores Gaber, brother Rand Gaber (Melinda), nephews Matthew Gaber and Stephen Bowling. As this is written, another nephew Bryant Snow has joined John and all our loved ones that passed before, into Eternal Life with our Heavenly Father.

A private, family only memorial service will take place at Quantico National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in memory of John Gaber.
