Beloved mother, grandmother "Mami", great grandmother "Mama Mama", great great grandmother, Tia, sister and friend. Juana Dora Cruz Vda de Arias passed peacefully in her sleep on April 12, 2021 in her home in Manassas, Va.

Juana Dora was born September 16, 1929 in Lima, Peru where she was a nursing assistant for 26 years. She met her husband Leonardo Arias in 1945 and was married for 25 years. Once moved to Virginia she was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas, Va since 1985 where she was a member of the choir and a gospel reader during Sunday service. She was best known for her lively celebratory voice for every occasion. Juana Dora was a pillar of strength not only within her family but in the community around her where everyone knew who she was as she took her daily walks. For many she is remembered as the greatest daycare provider.

Juana Dora is preceded in death by spouse Leonardo Arias and son Pablo Arias.

Juana Dora is survived by her children Maria Cruzado Arias (Jerry Asche) and Leonardo Arias (Mirtha Arias); Grandchildren: Katherine Peters (Cruzado), Frank Cruzado, Bryant Cruzado and Shirley Washington (Cruzado), Pierre Oropeza Arias, Karim Arias and Melisa Arias; Great-grandchildren: Lorin Peters II, Maria Peters, Lawrence (Chris) Peters, Marissa Peters (Katherine), Adriana Cruzado, Sienna Perry (Frank), Cameron Cruzado, Olivia Cruzado (Bryant), Alondra Washington, Victoria Washington, Hazel Washington (Shirley), Thaysa Adán Arias (Melisa); Great great- grandchild: Adonis Herrick (Maria); Siblings: Julia Montoya, Daniel Osorio and Aida Delgado (Osorio).

This is not goodbye. As many of you know, Juana Dora had very strong faith. She believed all was possible with faith in God. We know that she is at peace now. Now it is our turn to go live life to the fullest and keep her legacy alive.
