Obituary for Julia Thomas Davis

Julia Thomas Davis was born June 15, 1928 in Bybee Fluvanna County Virginia to the late Clarence Wiley Thomas and Alice Gross Thomas.

Julia was predeceased by her husband Marion Allen Davis of 43 years, two sons Roger A. Davis and Daniel L Davis, one daughter Judy Ann Oster. Julia was also predeceased by all of her siblings, two brothers Weimer and Wellington Thomas Three Sisters Charlotta Arnold, Juanita Riddle and Celestine Dowdell.

Julia is survived by six loving grandchildren Spencer Neely of Manassas, Thomas Davis (Sue) of Madison, James Neely (Tara) of Midlothian, Penny Ball (Roger) of Marshall, Christy Oster of Charlottesville and William Oster (Melissa) of Texas. One brother-in-law Randolph (Doris) Davis of Crozet and several nieces and nephews.

Julia is further survived by 16 great-grandchildren. Shelby, Nicholas, Ryan, Hunter, Kiersten, Savannah, Stephanie, Shannon, Spencer Jr, Paige, Billy, Logan, Brennon, Zack, William Jr., and Daniel.

Lastly, Julia was survived by two great-great-grandchildren. Ryleigh and Keegan and one loving neighbor she thought of as a daughter Patty Hurley.

Julia worked for the Federal Bureau of Engraving, General Motors, and Yorkshire Market, before becoming a homemaker.

Julia was a kind heart with a gentle soul. She had a huge love for her family and the Lord attending Yorkshire Baptist Church for decades. Her story telling was something we will never forget.

Julia was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Family will receive friends Thursday June 6, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church 7620 Chestnut St. Manassas, VA 20111. A service will be held on Friday June 7, 2019 at the Yorkshire Free Will Baptist Church at 12:00 with Pastor Todd Tennant officiating.

Interment will follow the service in Woodbine Cemetery 12914 Canova Dr. Manassas, VA 20112.
