Obituary for Kathleen Marie Lord

Kathleen Marie Lord
Kathleen (Kathy) Lord, born on June 30, 1939 in Cleveland Ohio, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 in Haymarket, Virginia.

Kathy was a loving Wife to William (Bill) Lord for over 37 years. Together they shared many fun times with neighbors, family, and friends just laughing and making wonderful memories. They also enjoyed many RV trips in their own RV and Kathy was still involved with the local Winnebago RV club.

Kathy was a loving mother to Kathy (Dave) Hackshaw, Karen Clerici, and Kristy (Mike) Dove and a stepmother to Tiffany Lord. Her five grandchildren; Margret, Addie, Luc, Sarah, and Evan were her greatest joy. She was also previously married to Donald Lund, who is the father of her daughters.

She was raised in Cleveland, Ohio, her birthplace, where she learned to cook from scratch and lived in a multigenerational home surrounded by cousins.

Kathy received her RN degree from Mount Sinai Nursing School Case Western University and later earned her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Science and Nursing from George Mason University. She worked as a nursing supervisor and director of nursing for many years. Even in retirement, she loved volunteering at Prince William NOVANT Hospital Auxiliary, which she did for over 12 years.

Kathy had been living at The Wellington at Lake Manassas due to her health. Her family was with her in her final days as they were her greatest happiness. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Interment will be at the Columbarium at St. Thomas Methodist Church in Manassas.
