Obituary for Kenneth Leroy Cornwell Sr.
Kenneth L Cornwell, age 79 of Manassas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Fairfax Inova Hospital.
Born July 15th, 1940 in Manassas, VA., he was the son of the late Odie and Myrtle Cornwell. He was predeceased by his wife Dixie L. Cornwell and his brother Alvin Cornwell of Manassas.
Kenneth retired from Coca-Cola in 1979 after 20 years of service and started Ken’s Paint Service in the same year. Kenneth was a self-made entrepreneur He was a hard worker and successful in every endeavor he encountered. His main focus in life was providing for his family.
He is survived by his sons Kenneth L Cornwell Jr, Wayne M Cornwell and Rodney W Cornwell all from Manassas, his grandsons Kenneth L Cornwell III and Justin D Cornwell, his great grandchildren Kiersten Kidwell, Kolton Cornwell, Addison Cornwell and Kayson Cornwell, his siblings Walter (Tootie) Cornwell Sr, Carrie (Liza) Garner, Charlotte (Jackie) Anderson, and Mabel Black. He also leaves behind many treasured family members and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. A private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in the memory of Kenneth L Cornwell to St Jude’s Children Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl Memphis TN 38105.
Interment will be private and at a later date.
