Obituary for Larry Everette Foster

It is with both heavy hearts and a sense of peace that the family of Larry Everette Foster announce his passing from chronic illness on October 30, 2018, at the age of 64 years. Larry, in passing, was as true to form as he was in living; filled with integrity, dignity, respect and a deep caring for his family and those around him.

Born in Bellepoint, WV, on November 9, 1953, Larry grew up in the mountains, learning the importance of hard work and self-discipline as well as developing his strong love of nature and peace. As a young man, Larry met his loving wife, Donna, and started his family in Clarksville, TN, but soon moved to the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area to begin his career with the Central Intelligence Agency. Here, he very proudly served his country for close to three decades, moving up from the mail room to a high-ranking managerial position over time. In his spare time, Larry loved reading; photography, art, drawing, and painting; being outdoors; listening to music; and above all, spending time with family.

Larry is survived by his wife Donna (Rye), children Adam and Stephanie (Bryan), sisters Lynn and Debbie, and grandchildren Donavan, Gavyn, and Alana. He will also always be remembered by his extended family, including many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Larry is preceded in death by his mother, Evelyn Critchley (Smith).

A memorial honoring Larry’s life will be held Saturday, November 17, 2018, at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA 20110. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, and the service will occur at 2:00 PM with Dr. R. Joseph Tricquet, Jr., officiating. Online condolences can be left at www.bakerpostfh.com
