Obituary for Lee Dillard Goolsby Jr.

Lee D. Goolsby Jr. of Centreville, VA passed away on Sunday, October 14, 2018 with his family by his side. It was his 73rd Birthday. He is now with our Lord and at peace.

Lee was born in Annapolis, Maryland, the son of the late, Captain Lee D. Goolsby Sr. and Mrs. Mary Goolsby Jones.

Lee worked as an automotive transmission mechanic for over 40years. He really loved his work. Lee loved hunting and automobiles, but first and foremost he loved spending time with all the family.

Lee is preceded in death by his father, Captain Lee D. Goolsby Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Betty Goolsby of Centreville, VA; his mother, Mrs. Mary Goolsby Jones of Clinton, MS; son, Lee D. Goolsby III(Maria) of Purcellville, VA; daughter, Michelle L. Robey of Martinsburg, WV; brother, John M. Goolsby Sr.(Brenda) of Clinton, MS; sister, Ann Hays(Kenneth) of Prospect, KY; sisters- in-law, Roseanne Norton(Rand) of Cedar Point, NC and Sandra Dunn of Newport, NC; brothers-in-law, Willard Dunn(Connie) of Fayetteville, NC; Richard Holmes(Katina) of Warren AFB, WY; grandchildren, Skyler Robey, Sonny Robey, Emmaly Robey, Zachary Goolsby, Hailee Goolsby and great granddaughter, Paisleigh Copsey. He is also survived by his nephews, John M. Goolsby, Jr., Kenneth Hays, Jr., Dennis Norton, Paul Norton and Scott Dunn; his nieces, Christy Williamson, Jennifer Miller, Chloe Holmes, Crystal Reeves and many great nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He will be forever loved and missed by all his friends and family.

Internment and a private memorial are planned later.
