Obituary for Linda Popovich Noyes

Linda Popovich Noyes
Linda Popovich Noyes passed away after a short illness on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Prince William Hospital.

Linda May Popovich was born on March 2, 1948, and lived her early years in McLean, Virginia. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1965. In October of 1966, she met her soon to be husband, Lawrence Noyes, and they were together for the rest of her life. They were married in November of 1967 and resided in Vienna, Virginia, where they raised their son Andy and their daughter, Michele. They lived in Vienna until 2014, when they moved to Bristow, Virginia, to be closer to their Grandchildren.

Linda had a very successful 36-year career at the Sharon Godfrey State Farm Insurance Agency, where she served in many capacities. Linda continued to work full time with Sharon until days before she went into the hospital.

Linda loved bowling and competed in many leagues over the years and served in leadership roles for many of those leagues. Linda loved life, but most of all, her family. She looked forward to her annual trip with her entire extended family to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Surrounded by her children and grandchildren, no time or place brought her more happiness.

Linda is survived by her husband of 53 years, Lawrence Noyes, her son Andrew Noyes and his wife Dawn, her daughter Michele Whritenour and her husband David, her Grandchildren Cody Noyes, Alexis Miller and her husband Dustin, David Whritenour, Joshua Noyes, Timmathy Noyes, and Michael Whritenour. Linda was also planning for the birth of her first Great Grandson in December 2020. Linda will be sadly missed.

Due to the current health regulation, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, make donations in her name to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Alzheimer's Association, or the Youth Bowling League at Bowl America - Chantilly or Dranesville.
