Condolence: We just came across this obituary of our good friend Luis. Luis loved to travel and when we did not hear from him, we knew he was off to see the world. He was a deep thinker, a kind man. We shared many meals together at our favorite restaurants and at our homes. He taught me how to make salsa and guacamole. We traveled together to Mexico. Our hearts are broken that we did not get to say goodbye, but I believe you would have wanted it that way. We miss you, Luis, and hope you are traveling forever in the clouds.

Condolence: Luis was a principled, outspoken, generous man. I am grateful for his kindness and friendship. He dropped everything when I needed help with my dying canine companion. He drove me to Charlottesville to pick up my new rescue pup. His gentle way with animals , his commitment to what was right and his ability to see what was most essential during our short time on the planet was an inspiration to me.

Condolence: What an interesting man Luis was in our neighborhood. I will miss our morning greetings as I walked the dog and fed the cats behind his house. My thoughts are with his family. Joyce
